ABOUT THE WORKSHOP: Every note you play sends a message to your listeners as well as to your collaborators. Understanding who is in charge of a musical situation and what you and your bandmates are telling each other are key elements to a successful musical partnership. Led by James Fernando and his trio, this workshop dives into the dynamics of playing with others. Open to all instruments and genres, preference for participation will be given to students who prepare a piece to play with others. Observers are very welcome to attend!
