Nuts & Bolts:
Locations:
Camps will be held at our studios at 821 Commercial Street, Rockport, ME 04856.
Blues Intensive campers will perform at the North Atlantic Blues Festival on Sunday, July 13th. They will also have the opportunity to reprise their performance during the Lobster Festival (last week of July) if they are available.
Gig Camp campers will perform at the Maine Lobster Festival (exact time TBD). Additional shows will be decided and arranged by the group during the week.
Approximate Schedule:
Camps run Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
The days will be approximately organized as following:
Morning Session: Direct instructional time, guest speakers, theory, improv/music games, group conversations, topics review, listening and writing sessions.
Lunch: To be held outside every day if weather permits. We love to take advantage of the nearby Wellness Trail, so bug spray and walking shoes are recommended. Students should bring a packed lunch and water bottle (we have a fridge). We will provide snacks each day, and a pizza party for Friday’s lunch.
Afternoon Session: Playing time, breakout sessions and rehearsals!
For pricing, see each camp for details.
10% discount for enrollment in multiple camps and/or enrolls with a sibling
Tuition assistance is available; please contact MCMA Director Jen Feldman for more information
All camps will have a minimum of two faculty members and specialty guest teachers to ensure students have instrument-specific instruction as needed.
