Evan Lattimore

Evan Lattimore was born in New York City and raised in Providence, Rhode Island and North Haven, Maine. A classically trained percussionist, Evan graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music in 1981 where he studied with Frank Epstein, Fred Buda and Vic Firth. For the past four decades he has traveled throughout New England, New York, Europe, Israel, Mongolia, and South Asia performing as a percussionist and tympanist with symphony orchestras, choruses, and musical theaters. Evan has performed concertos with the Brown University Wind Ensemble, the Thayer Symphony Orchestra and the Metropolitan Wind Ensemble. He has played with pit orchestras for Broadway tours, Aretha Franklin, and The Moody Blues. This past June, Evan participated in the Craciaen Festival, playing the bodhran, in the Aran Islands, Ireland. Evan is currently a member of the Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra, the New England Repertory Orchestra, and Opera Vermont. Evan has a Master of Arts Teaching degree from Rhode Island College, 1997, and a Fine Arts Director Certificate from Fitchburg State University 2014. He was the Band, Chorus, General Music teacher at Central Tree Middle School in Rutland, Massachusetts from 1994 to 2023. Previously he taught at the Brookline Music School, Brown University, and Atlantic Union College. Evan has adjudicated for the Rhode Island All State auditions, Massachusetts Central District Jr. auditions, and for the Rhode Island Percussive Arts Society
